Introducing the “Response Chaining” Feature in NestForms

At NestForms, we’re always listening to our clients to improve our platform and enhance your workflows. We recently introduced a powerful new feature that allows you to link forms together and repeat answers seamlessly between them. This feature helps streamline processes, reduce data entry, and improve overall efficiency.

A client of ours put it perfectly when they asked if there was a way in which they could link two forms together. They wanted to link an installation report to a separate sign-off form. In effect, after a responder had completed the report and submitted it, another form would automatically open for the sign-off details to be completed by the client if required.

The feature allows you to repeat the same field data that is contained in the original response, allowing the responder to fill in less detail as they continue their survey.

Another example would be a factory survey where the same machinery is being checked. This would enable the responder to avoid re-entering the exact same data on similar machines, they can only fill in data that is different between each machine.

We understand the need for efficiency in fieldwork, especially for tasks like installations, inspections, and quality checks. The ability to transition smoothly between forms while carrying over relevant answers can make a huge difference in productivity. That’s where the Response Chaining feature comes in.
